Joint Superintendents of
the Calderdale Circuit are
Rev. Tony Buglass
Tony is joint superintendent of Calderdale with Ian, and is
minister of Heptonstall, Hebden Bridge, Mytholmroyd, Midgley & Luddenden
and Luddendenfoot URC churches. He is also squadron chaplain
to 250 (Halifax) Sqn Air Training Corps. This is his fifth
appointment; he has been in circuit ministry for 30 years,
and has also served as hospital chaplain, prison chaplain,
rural industry chaplain, and RAF chaplain. He and his wife
Margi come from Tyneside - he currently describes himself as
a "Geordie missionary to Yorkshire." He loves music,
and sings with the local community choir - a very good way
of getting into the local community, and into the local pubs.
He also loves the work of ministry, sharing the good news,
helping people to understand the Christian faith.
and Rev. Ian Coverdale
Ian is joint Superintendent
of the Calderdale Circuit and minister of Brighouse Central
Methodist Church. He has served as a Methodist minister for
twenty years, having previously worked in management consultancy.

He and his wife Sheila have lived in Brighouse for four years.
Prior to that their ministry was in Ellesmere Port and Bramhall.
